GALLE' GLASS ART NOUVEAU

Art Nouveau Decorative Glass
A small project bringing attention to
A Man of His Time

Galle’ was an Art Nouveau designer of glass and furniture and is considered to be one of the major forces in the industrializing  French Art Nouveau movement with the Nancy School of Design.

A Galle' Portrait of Decorative Glass
For Galle' there was always Hope through Nature; She repeatedly replenished herself through all seasons of space and time.

"Like nature which forever comes back to life, GallĂ© thought that man could re-find his mind and unite to improve life. The peacefulness of nature seemed to be a refuge, constantly renewed, never deceiving and always the source of amazement in the eyes of the passionate nature-lover…In each of his references to creation, flora or fauna, GallĂ© thought of man, of his strengths and of his weaknesses, such as for the case Seulette suis, seulette veux etre (Lonesome I am, Lonesome I want to be)."

Galle'
was preoccupied with
design as well as for the material to produce the effects required dipicted on his
decorative pieces.

He
revitalized the glass industry
by establishing a workshop
to mass produce his, and
other artist's designs.

A Celestial Soul Returns
‘Williams is a comet that continues a celestial journey still casting a glow on this planet. He must have been looking down favorably on this project because it is very satisfying.’

This quote was taken from thelastridefilm.com. How appropriate that I would have the opportunity to blog about a fellow traveler and welcome him back to my home town.
Biloxi's Saenger Theater

In a small contribution to the restoring of beloved historic theaters around the nation ~ America's Heritage, it's Movie Palaces ~ THE LAST RIDE is partnering up with LouRedaProductions including the Biloxi Saenger Theater to allow an exclusive screening of the film before it opens widely.

A full movie event of the Meteoric Life of
Hank Williams, Sr
July 28-29, 2012

"The Last Ride," which premiered last month at the San Antonio Film Festival, will be presented Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, July 28 and 29 at the Saenger downtown. The Biloxi engagement will be unlike any other in the country. The 90-minute movie will be preceded by a 10-minute Mississippi Public Broadcasting documentary that chronicles Williams's frequent visits to Biloxi. He performed in a nightclub at the corner of Reynoir and Division streets, where he had befriended owner Sie Simon. During his Biloxi visits, Williams also befriended Biloxi businessman and civic leader F. Yankie Barhanovich, an impresario in his own right.

The documentary, which borrows its title from the Williams single "Ramblin' Man," features excerpts of the singer-songwriter's best-known songs; interviews with the late Sie Simon; Simon’s daughter, Kay Bankston; Frank Barhanovich Jr., son of Yankie Barhanovich; and others who knew Williams.

"This was a special time in Biloxi's history," Mayor A.J. Holloway said. "Hank Williams Sr. must have appreciated the hospitality and friendship of people like Sie Simon and Yankie Barhanovich, and he obviously enjoyed his visits here, since he returned so many times."

Biloxi Sunset on the Gulf of Mexico

Williams's bond to his Biloxi friends was so strong that he acknowledged audience members Simon and Barhanovich at his wedding in New Orleans Municipal Auditorium in October 1952. Simon and Barhanovich were honorary pallbearers at his funeral in Montgomery, Ala. In fact, at least three other Coast residents -- C.T. Switzer Sr., Leo Todaro and Pee Wee Maddux – were among the throng of 20,000 at the ceremony.

"I'm so lonesome I could cry when time goes crawling by....the moon just went behind the clouds to hide it's face and cry........"

"Something must be mentioned about the remarkable music track on this film. More than three dozen songs are in the picture and 22 of them have been assembled by Curb Records and Benjy Gaither into an electrifying album due to go on sale soon. Very rarely, do you get to hear a mix of incredible artists ranging from The Isaacs, Michael English, Jett Williams to Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash, plus thrilling up and comers like Toney Ramey and Nathan Young. This one you will have to hear to believe! "

"The Last Ride," which was released June 22, also stars Jesse James; Fred Dalton Thompson, the former Tennessee senator known for roles in TV's "Law & Order" and several motion pictures; and Kaley Cuoco of TV’s "The Big Bang Theory."

Lil' IN Studio

Awaiting my return from traveling the GalaxSea in Blog post Sunday, Lil' decided that she would take the opportune moment to make her own discoveries>In the Studio.
Lil' is my tuxedo kitty although quite a serious girl, has her moments and is spied here calculating  on her discovery of 'item' at one of my stations. Here is her movement in sequence of  'shoplifting'.

Lil' in the shadows of  a chair, knowing full well the studio is off  limits, contemplates....

..........Lil' gazes to the left of a painted bottle a work in progress, and past the painted salt & pepper shakers. I follow her glance with the camera still wondering what has her attention.....

This is what I see in the view from my angle. Certainly she doesn't want the porcelain wren's, could it be?

Casting my attention elswhere, she makes her move....

Poof, Gone! .......and the feather too. I am trying very hard not to laugh out loud......

When suddenly she reappears with great speed as though Nothing, has been disturbed.

My Super Kitty,
Little.

THE NAUTILUS AND THE MILKY WAY

GALAXSEA

.......a fractal portion of thought from the Galaxy to the Sea.......

google.com

what goes around comes around; really, are those words

evaluated in extremes to make a point; is what goes around,
comes around a constant; what is constant.

The stars are constant;

the stars stood long before the oceans;

LIN & SONS JEWELLERS

the oceans
go around and come around;

The stars are a visible constant in the night sky,

sometimes we can view them in the light of day;

If wished upon them by night; are they not the constant

reminder; that they are real; although untouchable, are they

real; Ever moving round, and if moving around, how many

times had they come around before;

A galaxy of spirals ever

going round; Spirals that fell into the sea;

Golden Back Turtle Wine
Hand Painted Glassware

The living fossil; A promise of expansion and renewal (question); And if it is a symbol, is it also a promise of ‘what goes around, comes around’ ………(question)

in using it as a proverb>  for a ‘persons’ actions, whether good or bad, will it, does it often have consequences for that person of action…….as it is described in speaking of karma; does the galaxy have karma (question) ‘Does what goes around, come around’……….
